RAINBOW BOOK CLUB FOUNDER REPRESENTS NIGERIA AT SHARJAH WORLD BOOK CAPITAL 2019

Koko Kalango, who managed the Port Harcourt World Book Capital 2014 programme, was in Sharjah for the official handover of World Book Capital from Athens to the city of Sharjah which is World Book Capital City 2019. According to the panel of judges, Sharjah clinched the nomination in recognition of her innovative, comprehensive and inclusive proposal. Sharjah’s tenure runs from April 23 (World Book & Copyright Day) to April 22 2020 under the theme “Open Books, Open Minds”. The city has a colourful line-up of year-long programmes planned.
