‘Working Agile; Embracing change and adapting effectively’ was the topic of the WIMBIZ (Women in Management, Business and Public Office) October round table lunch which held on 5th October. Falling back on her experience, the speaker, the Executive Vice Chairman, Moni Pulo Limited, Dr. (Mrs.) Seinye O.B. Lulu-Briggs, spoke to the women gathered at the Margaret’s Restaurant in Trans Amadi, Port Harcourt. The lunch was a relaxed setting where an interactive session followed the keynote address. While explaining the ‘WHAT, WHY AND HOW’ of ‘Agile Work’, Mrs. Lulu Briggs stressed on the need for people to be aware of happenings in their environment in order to respond.
Ugochi Okoli represented the Rainbow Book Club at the lunch. Rainbow Book Club’s affiliation with WIMBIZ dates to 2010 when Mrs. Kalango was a speaker at the WIMBIZ 9th annual conference in Lagos, with the theme ‘Impact Your World’. Mrs. Kalango was awarded the WIMBIZ ‘Female Achievers Award’ in 2012 and she is one of the 179 women featured in the WIMBIZ coffee table book INSPIRE ME-Images of Nigerian Working Women. Mrs Kalango was the speaker at the WIMBIZ round table lunch on December 5, 2014 in Port Harcourt with the topic- ‘Following your passion to success’.
