‘LOVE MADE THE DIFFERENCE’ – RAINBOW BOOK CLUB FOUNDER, KOKO KALANGO, INTERVIEWES HER EXCELLENCY MRS DOLAPO OSINBAJO AUTHOR OF THEY CALL ME MAMA AND WIFE OF NIGERIA’S ACTING PRESIDENT
On 14 TH February, as the world celebrated Valentines Day, Rainbow Book Club founder, sat with Her Excellency, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo, wife of Nigeria’s Acting President, to discuss her book, They Call Me Mama, alongside Channels Book Club presenter, Mr Kunle Kasumu. They Call Me Mama, which can aptly be described as a love story, was the RBC Book-of- the-Month for February 2016.
In the book, Mrs Osinbajo’s chronicles her experiences working amongst Area Boys in Lagos over a decade ago. She explains that it was love she took to them and that made all the difference. It tells of the ups and downs she experienced in the course of the work and how many of these boys got rehabilitated, educated and re-integrated into society. This story would provoke the reader to look for opportunities to make a different in the lives of the under privileged around us.
