The Port Harcourt Book Festival 2014 Is Here

The annual Port Harcourt Book festival formerly known as the Garden City Literary Festival touted to one of the largest book festivals in Africa is here again.
This year’s festival is special as it falls within the Port Harcourt World Book Capital tenure and the Nigerian Centenary year. The theme is Possibilities for Nigeria at 100 with focus on youth.A prominent array of speakers whose work is relevant to the youth such as Bishop Matthew Kukah, Fela Durotoye, Perez Tigidam, Christie Bature Ogbeifun, Ndidi Nwuneli, Chude Judeonwo and Japheth Omojuwa at the 6-day festival which commences on the 20th of October, at the Hotel Presidential.
As usual, there would be writing workshops with no less an impressive collection of facilitators such as
• Segun Adeniyi (former Special Adviser on Communication to President YarAdua)
• Ibiai Ani (CEO, The Daisy Management Centre)
• Promise Ogochukwu (CEO Lumina Foundation and Author)
