It will be another exciting evening this Sunday July 27 2014, at the Book-of-the-Month discussion and drama performance.
The book in focus is Professor Wole Soyinka’s Aké; the Years of Childhood which recounts the growing-up years of the Nobel Laureate in his home town Aké, near Abeokuta. The choice of Aké for the July BOTM is in honour of Prof. Soyinka who turned 80 on 13th July.
Our special guest panellists at this month’s discussion are the Funky 4 crew popular on Rhythm 93.7fm radio; Daniel Nwoka (Dan d’ Humorous) , Michael Ogolo, Tekena Iyalla (Tekena the waterside chief) and Kunle Oluwole (Kunle Tatafo).
This month’s event will also feature a drama adaptation of the BOTM to be performed live by the University of Port Harcourt Institute of Arts and Theatre.
The programme will kick off at 3pm at the Atlantic Hall of Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt.
