Celebrity International Education Festival (CIEF) seeks to profer solutions and provide support services to the education sector.
Following the role played by the Rainbow Book Club in Port Harcourt’s emergence as UNESCO World Book Capital 2014, Mrs Koko Kalango (Rainbow Book Club Founder) was given an award. The award was received on her behalf by Ms Fortune Alvan.
In her acceptance speech, Mrs Koko Kalango commended the efforts of the organisation and advised that in other to ensure sustenance of the vision, diligence, hard work and honesty should be their watch word.
During the interactive session, Mrs Daisy Esohe Jonathan, Founder of Peaceful place, a foundation that helps children with special needs spoke to the creator of the event, Mr Adokiye Anthony Ekine, on the need for true and honest involvement of organizations in inclusive education. This was also supported by Mr. Kasarachi Innocent Hayford, a lecturer at the University of Port Harcourt.
Mr Chidi Ononye of Tripple Fun Club gave a Pep Talk on Creativity & Innovation in Education. He enjoined the attendees to find their passion as passion feeds innovation. He did not however leave out the need for determination and resilience in the pursuit of any objective.
Highlights of the events included red carpet interviews, music orchestra from students of Archdeacon Brown Education Centre, jokes by comedian, Noisy and award presentation to other recipients like Actress, Mrs. Hilda Dokubo, HRM Dr. (Barr.) Josephine A. Diete-Spiff, Mr. Dagogo Adonye Hart, Pastor Manuella George and Mrs Aramide Obah. Various personalities from different organizations that have in one way or the other supported the growth of Education and creativity in Nigeria were present at the event and were also awarded for their good works.
